Had never heard of the wine label or the grape. A buddy brought this out as he has some sort of connection with the winemaker I believe. Very unique red. First time I think I’ve ever gotten watermelon notes from a wine! Tart fruits here...green apple. Crisp acidity. Lots going on, but it’s not heavy at all. A thinker!

I love how this wine celebrates femininity and delicacy. A wine can be restrained yet full of flavor. This wine has charm, which has been hard to find in wine lately--kudos to Chris for having the courage to hold back.

Brilliant. Funky delicious figgy dark tart fruit. Lighter side of medium in body but with firm depth and seriousness. I can't pronounce it but I like it!

Almost dark earthy Burgundian fruits. Oddly, a hint of green apple jolly rancher follows. Nice red and purple florals. Very juicy watermelon, some sticky tannins here, chalk and long fresh fruity finish. Delicious!!!

Meh. Too much acid not enough balancing fruit and earth. Shrill.

This bottle was awesome, even more fun seeing it evolve in the glass. Nose of red fruits, tasted like sour cherries and prunes, which was really interesting. Some floral notes (like rose!) coming out after a couple hours. Really fun wine

A luminous violet in the glass; more robust and spicy than expected.

Crazy wine. Out of all these hip sommelier turned winemakers, I still think Broc is the best and most authentic. His wines are always surprising instead of just tart and trendy. This one has some crazy pickle aroma and hits a pleasant amount of volatile acidity. Very ripe fruit with wild acidity. Super interesting and intriguing.
