Bright and punchy and zesty with a punch of marzipan and driving lemon. Good minerality. Punchy. A bit early to tell. But great bones. From mag.

This is stunning. Dazzling precision and lift. A Monty bright bright nose. Lovely definition and acidity. Beautiful midpalate and length. All round a perfectly poised and delicious white.

Delectable - this was not La Cabotte but the “standard “ Bouchard Chevalier Montrachet. A lovely harmonious palate - a touch of salt amongst the citrus flavours. Good acid. I liked this. A good future but one could happily drink this now. As a bracket these 9 Grand Cru White Burgundies had a sweetness of fruit character for the warm vintage. The bigger fruit easily soaked up the Oak. In the cooler 2014 vintage tasting last year, the oak was more noticeable in their youth.

Golden minty soft nose. Some smokiness. Lovely balance and great depth with soft lemon. Incredible poise and settled. This is very complete. Over its youth but in a great place. Very classy

Noticeable oak on nose. Palate staining intensity. Balanced acid - has a great future.

Light yellow straw color. Happy to see its not dark gold. Vanilla and honeysuckle nose. In the mouth the fruit is sweet, balanced with nice acidity and structure. Good finish. Nice wine but don't see this getting better.

I'm going to amend the notes below. On day 2 this firmed up a bit. It did not go the route of other premox wines that started out like below. Still wasn't great tho. Maybe reduced?? There are some decent qualities here. Still awkward and I don't know where this goes in the future. Initial TN: Med gold color. Sweet in the nose, too sweet. In the mouth its a bit flat. I wouldn't say this is totally premoxed but it appears to be on its way. Very awkward. Didn't improve with air. Not representative of the Chevy vineyard and definitely not representative of the 2004 vintage. Bummer.
