Bouchard Père et Fils
Clos Saint-Marc Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Pinot Noir
Very nice wine with years to go. Pretty aromatics with a solid core of fruit and structure in the mid-palate. Finish is smooth and focused. The balance thru to the finish is the highlight for this very yummy wine! Vintage 1997

Apr 2nd, 2015Darker than the Girardin Vignes Franches, richer also with ripe attack,
this had stunning dark fruit, soft tannins, dark spice notes, cherry
puree, perfect 1er cru stature, very nice, if not as elegant as the
Girardin or as silky and pedigreed as the de Montille. Located in
Premeaux at the far south end of the NSG AOC, the richer soils do indeed
impart a darker, richer style. Still had another 5-10 years ahead of it
as did the other Burgs. Pleasantly surprised.

Outstanding!! Just starting to open up. In a great space to drink. Not really showing any age in color. Cherry cola, fresh roses. Just awesome.
