On the palate there is cherry, raspberry, strawberry, licorice, spice, mushroom, some oak and dark earth.

Dec 3rd, 2016Tonight I have opened the 2013 Premier Cru Beaune Clos De La Mousse Bouchard Pere & Fils Monopole.
On the nose there is cranberry, red raspberry, clove herbaceous notes, mushrooms, vanilla, and wet soil, very expressive and exciting.
On the palate there is onnthe light side with tart cherries, red raspberries, spice, clove, earth and minerality.
There is crisp medium + acidity, medium drying tannins, with a firm long crisp finish.
An enjoyable evening with a very nice bottle of Burgundy.
