A solid wine on its own merits, taking away the rarity of finding a still Pinot Meunier outside of champagne. Reminiscent of a cru Beaujolais and more akin to a serious gamay than a typical Pinot. However, without an industry discount, $70 is a bit prohibitive.

Fruity with red berries and cheerful cherries on the nose. Flavor is slick & smooth with a lean tartness. Cranberry sauce and pie cherry. Smoke. Dry with intense tannin to end things.
