This wine wears well..about 5th time, still velvety palate, deep red berry taste of a fine Barbera D’ Asti... reminiscent of many to most of the better Piedmont Barbera wines. Almost too smooth, not as full-bodied nor quite as balanced as many but still a full flavor, dry, medium bodied wine. Very drinkable...raising rating...drink again and again as everyday wine.

Has that funky licorice and black cherry nose so common in Italian wines. Flavor is nicely tart and juicy with a bit of drying tannin to finish.
