Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru Chardonnay

Lovely bright salinity. Lime and slate and gunpowder. Sweet edges and great structure. Long.

Quite fresh on the nose. Very balanced and distinguished with lean minerality and a strong undertow of resolved citrus and seashells. Very good. Young still

Delicious bottle. Not as luxurious, decadent, as C-C can be, but not a trace of premature oxidation.

Ordered off a restaurant list. Straw gold. Great vibrant nose. Very mineral. Notes of lemon, white flowers, wet river stones and some cardamom. After several hours of air this blossoms. Still young but had some nuances of complexity. Great to compare the 2010 vs the 1986 today.

Gorgeous open oily lemon fruit. Limestone and oyster shells and pretty light acacia and minerals. After being open for 24 hours this is singing. A gorgeously balanced wine

Stonking good Chardonnay, all good and in check, oak, acid, length. So good

Ok-ish but signs of pox. Grrrr

Great length and structure. Decanted upon opening. Exuberant nose of matchstick, chalk, lemon peel. Lovely wine.

Youthful, full bodied Corton. Lovely Chardonnay that will benefit from a couple more years of age.

Crisp fresh red apple and pear. Minerality. Toasted nuts. M+ acid, m body, long finish. Licorice, anise, saline, minerality and lemon zest. Still a bit tight. Will be awesome with some aging.
