Bolgheri Orma
Passi di Orma Red Blend
Orma is sandwiched between Sassicaia and Ornellaia. This not their second wine that is a Merlot dominant Bordeaux blend. Medium bodied with nice complexity. Plums, orange peel, fine wood, clay, black tea, clove, coffee beans.

May 8th, 2024Rich, dense Merlot dominated Bordeaux blend with black currant, cedar wood, dried herbs and a hint of walnut. Rich yet fresh.
Rich, chewy yet juicy tannins, dark fruit, savoury herby finish with a hint of dark chocolate.
Nice siping with some mature Comte.

Nov 27th, 2018Black current, prunes, red cherry and scent of violet quickly turns to impressive secondary note of dried herbs, pencil lead, tobacco, dark chocolate and hint of barnyard. In the palate it’s full and rich, but finely balanced, with bittersweet tannins.
40%/35%/25% Merlot/CS/CF, 6 month used French oak barrel. This is the first release of the second wine of Orma, and I think it’s better than La Volte, the 2nd wine of its next door neighbor Ornellaia.
