This is just beautiful. 1000' above sea level and five miles from the Sonoma Coast. Kurt has really dialed in the Burgundy pedigree here. If you haven't tried his wines yet you should. Impressive.

Nice amber ring to this pale ruby color. Aromas of cherry, spearmint and damp mossy earth. Baked cherries on the palate, bright - fantastic wine!

Great nose, lots of fruit on the palate. Finish is softer given the age

Light reddish purple with amber rim. Aromas of cherry pie and spearmint with hints of damp earth and cloves. Medium bodied with intense cherry flavor, bright acidity, and 14.3% alcohol. Sourced from a vineyard planted in 2000 to 100% Swan clone on a coastal ridge at about 900 feet elevation 5 miles from the Pacific Coast in sandy loam soils. 10% whole clusters included then aged 25 months in seasoned French oak barrels. This is a lovely Sonoma Coast appellation Pinot. $55.

When in Occidental...be sure to check out the complimentary tasting. Bought this one for the evening. Apologies to Kurt Beitler for drinking this out of plastic hotel tumblers, but it still showed well.
