Phantom Chardonnay

Sur lie aged for 16 months in French oak (92%) and new American oak (8%), pale lemon color with fresh fruit aromas with notes of floral, oak and spice. On the palate flavors of stone fruit and lemon citrus with a sweet creamy tone. Medium finish, good acidity ending with fruit and oaky mineral character. Nice value.

Quite a lot more oak on this vintage. The augmented reality story was a good effort but a bit much lol

Very light, smooth, citrusy, a slight buttery feel after breathing a bit

Smooth Carmel apple, butterscotch, buttery, hint of citrus. Quite nice.

Butter, green oak, pineapple. Essence of rosemary. Cloves and then lemon custard w bitter greens or slightly mustard microgreens.

Overpowering French oak, which while usually reserved, dominates and makes this very one dimensional.

Awesome full long flavor. Beautiful smoky oak. Well balanced fruit, with apricot and other flavors.

A really nice Chardonnay comprehensive to senses, golden color AND a great value.

I have always enjoyed Phantom wines! Reviews are pretty decent for this 2017..plenty of peach, pear, apple, caramel and butterscotch. Nice complexity lending to a creaminess yet is light as a feather at the same time! Costco buy less than $15. Nice QPR!

This was kind of a bland tasting Chardonnay in my opinion. It had some flavor, but you couldn’t taste too much of the fruit in the wine. It seems to be overpowered by the aftertaste and I couldn’t make it through the whole bottle.
