Birthday bottle with Balkan take away from Ambar DC.
Shows why this is still an underrated variety. Both dense, dark and plummy on one hand and a bit leafy/herbal and mineral on the other. It seems to meet somewhere in the Eastern Atlantic between Castilla y Leon and Bordeaux.

From magnum and so mineral and long. One of the unappreciated wines of our book. World class.

2004 from Mag. Those was my wine of the night. It combine a vaguely Rhone-like aromas with leafy/minty Cab family scents. The texture is luscious, deep, balanced. The finish is very long. I think this can age for another 5+ easily.

We were bored with our simple VA CF so I wanted to spice things up...

A 'just because' bottle. The kids were napping and I got to eat a lunch of artisan cheese and sourdough with fresh figs. Savory and slightly cooked fruit aromas. This bottle showing slight oxidation.

From 1.5. Spectacular nose, mature aromas of smoked/dried meat, dried herbs, crushed rock, sour cherries. Ready to drink but seems like it can improve in complexity. Can mature another 10+ years in this format.
