This is a funky and lovely #mencia from #bierzo #winesofspain blackberry ripe cherry and yet celery and Asian spice. It’s so original and so cool. Of the #valtuille this is the best one.

17/20 (92/100) Насыщенный, джемовый аромат с тонами вишни, клубники, лакрицы и молочного шоколада. Довольно плотное с высокой кислотностью и интенсивными, вяжущими танинами. Продолжительное послевкусие.

Great expression of Mencia. Plenty of red fruit and some scrub herbs. Good acidity and length, with fine tannins. Still a baby, so mich better than its cheaper brother

Austere yet so elegant. And still so very young. Needs time!
Enticing nose with violets, orange zest, dark cherry, wet slate, smoke, roast, raw beef, cloves & allspice. Evolves as it opens up.
Pure & vibrant on the palate. With fresh, juicy acidity, cool freshness & mineral depth. The tannins are amazing - so polished, finely grained, juicy. Poised, elegant, and yet uncompromising. A beauty & will get even better with some age! Wow!

Quite elegant, almost burgundy-like but with a garnacha (?) edge to it
