Paired w grilled lamb chops.
Deep purple color, not showing much evolution. Nose is all stewed blackberries w a hint of leafy notes. This feels like is has been acidified, with a hint of crushed kids vitamin. Tannins are robust and recall a lot of Napa Cab I've tasted from recent vintages. I suppose if you like rich wines, this may be reach perfection for you. For me, it was a bit harsh/unbalanced.

Nice complexity of vanilla, black fruit and cedar. Firm tannins and nice long finish.

Really a very good wine for the price. A little bit of heat but generally a very smooth palate.

Really nice. Dark. A little egg on the nose, weird (but awesome-weird). I liked it. Super-integrated solid tannins. Really well-rounded. The only thing that I'd like more would be some more earth. A super wine at the price point, IMO.

Edit: I'm realizing that his is maybe too oaked. Therefore the lack of earth. Yup. Still pretty tasty for what it is. Full-bodied, nice tannin, dry, & not a crazy amount of oak. Just a little too much for my preference.
