La Mascota Cabernet Sauvignon

Lovely garnet colour. Dark fruit, some spice, a touch of mint and pencil shavings on the nose. Too sweet for my taste on the palate but good balance of acidity and ripe tannin. Plump ripe texture.

A solid Malbec, moderately rich, not as smooth as the 2012 Septima. Definitely benefits from being opened and left for a few days

Nice violet notes, robust, sweet. Good value. With parents and auntie.

Though a sweeter Cab, it was still excellent.
