Bottle number 1644 of 6000 back in 2005. Major Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot blend, along with Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Syrah. Double decanted and aerated for two hours. Deep garnet/ruby color with a clear rim.
At un-corking the nose is full of game blood; as the wine opens up; it evolves to scents of wood, blackberries, over ripe plum, sweet tobacco, and slight hints of dry spices.
After a couple of hours the mouthfeel is extremely balanced with iron, vanilla, jammy dark fruit, and dry mushroom. It is round and complex with dialed down alcohol, low but fresh acidity, supple tannings, and an enduring finish.

A blend of 50% Malbec, 22% Merlot, 22% Cab Sauv & 6% Cab Franc, aged in French oak 50/50 new & 1 year old, combining fruit from Luján de Cuyo and the Uco Valley. Deep Ruby with aromas of dark fruit, earthy and floral spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry and tart cherry flavors, with licorice, citrus and herb spice. Absolute banger, nose is intense, palate is bold exciting and begging for time in the glass/decanter. Extremely Tannic but flavourful and over time opens up to be one of the best expressions of Malbec you can find. Pair it with a wood fire grilled steak and you are in heaven. — 8 days ago

Wow! On the nose, dark plums and black cherries, fresh dark liquorice.
On the palate. A first phase of dark plums, black cherries and black berries. Fairly quickly the dark fruit notes are cut through with black liquorice, secondary ripple effects of vegetation and hints of fresh mint. The final third engulfs the medley of flavours laced with fine leather. Medium tannin percolates around, staying for a final bow. Decanted 1hr and 45 min. Served with filet mignon with melted blue cheese, roasted vegetable medley sprinkled with goat’ cheese (sweet potatoes, beets, carrots), asparagus and green pea basil/mint puree (all prepared at home). — 5 days ago
Freakin unreal: absolutely no sign of age, effusive out of the chute w/huge blackberry & boysenberry drenched in minerals & spice cake, sweet asphalt, and rose petals.
