Deep purple in color with a short purple rim.
Fruity nose of blueberries, plums, black currants, coffee, oak, cloves, earth, vegetables, graphites, spices, bitter herbs, wet leaves, vanilla, licorice and black pepper.
Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with plums, black currants, oak, cloves, earth, dark coffee, vegetables, graphites, bell pepper, spices, bitter herbs and peppercorn.
Medium plus in finish with soft tannins and tangy cranberries.
This Bonarda blend from Argentina is always enjoyable. Earthy with enough black fruits to be able to enjoy by itself. A good food wine too.
Showing nice complexity and a nice mouthfeel.
Wine Enthusiasts 90 points.
Good right out of the bottle and gets earthier as it opens up. This vintage does not seem to show a lot of tannins, for some reason. Maybe because there is more Bonarda than in other vintages.
Needs 2 years to mature properly.
I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.
A blend of 60% Bonarda and 40% Malbec.
13.5% alcohol by volume (feels like more).

Our final bottle in the case of 2006 Carmelo Patti’s legendary Cabernet. Drinking to celebrate a huge savings milestone for us that we’ve been working towards for a couple years. 😃🍷
The cork completely disintegrated so had to do my best filtering job on this one.
Color: ruby center with browning edges. a beautiful faded musty looking glass of wine.
Nose: getting a lot of stewed fruits on the nose. really deep cedar / cigar box and some leather. maybe some coffee as well. a very bordeaux style nose.
Palate. Oh my god is this good. Still such vibrant fruit, black plum mixed with some mocha and dusty old leather. Really lengthy finish. A soulful glass of wine, very old world. — 21 days ago
Don’t remember where I got it $16? — 8 days ago
Outstanding wine from Argentina. Got it from Cellar rep class. Rich was spicy finish. Medium body — 6 days ago
We liked this! Simple, very forward on berry-fruit. Will buy again! — 4 days ago
Smooth, juicy, dark cherries, strawberries — 4 days ago
This remains to be one of my favourite Malbec producers from Mendoza. The colour is Magneta, almost black. The wine is composed of lush, perfectly ripe plums, cherries, cassis, black currant and blueberries. There are hints of dark chocolate. Velvety tannins elegantly dance around the cheeks until gracefully fleeting away to the back of the palate. — 2 days ago
Not your typical Malbec.Deeper smoother deeper with some early fruit brightness with cherries etc and then some surprising chewy smooth tobacco at the end . I know that sounds unusual but to my untrained palate it’s what is true😉 — 16 days ago
