It's amazing how refreshing and easy to drink some of the old #rioja are. They pass over the palate softly and lightly, which is not to say they are watery just that they're light and earthy.

Dried flowers herbs and dried tobacco spice with a nice amount of light red berry fruit. Very soft and smooth with an array of spice earth and tongue tingly acidity.

Great anniversary wine at La Cuchara in Baltimore. Beautiful old nose of suede, rich leather, licorice and fig spread, with a silky body, a pale brick red, brown, deep maroon color, a nice acidic tinge, and prominent rich cranberry jam, fresh plum, and leathery notes.
