On the nose, ripe; rich; blackberries, dark cherries & cherries. Wood shavings, light baking spices, violets and dark red florals. The body is full, smooth, lush and elegant tannins are round and soft, dark cassis, blackberries, dark cherries, blueberries, rich, sweet, dark earth, grainy volcanic minerals, light baking spices, violet, fresh, florals, round acidity and a beautiful dark fruit, floral, elegant finish. Still very fresh. 2016 barrel sample from Mendoza.

Rich and concentrated fruits are available in abundance here. intense flavors of blackberries and plums are present throughout along with clover spices. Fairly acidic, but I think it needs it to keep the structure tight.

This was a nice treat. Minerals and earth tones a little salty. Tannins were tight even for a 10 year old wine. I’ll lay the rest down for a few more years.
