14.5% is just too much for my older sensitivity though. I dig the balanced approach

Not what I expected, but upon second thought... why didn't I expect a nice, full, spicy, and earthy Spanish red?

Rich dark fruits, still huge structure here, this needs further significant cellaring (10+ more years), long, lingering finish, very fine!!

Nose of black cherry, pomegranate, black pepper, iron, licorice, and something that reminds me of animals...in a good way. Very Bandol like. Palate is rich and structured with dark fruit, spice, good acidity, and somewhat bitter, course tannins. Alcohol is well hidden.

Rustic and wild, but still rich and complex. I really dig this style, but I understand why not everyone would be on board.

You know I love monastrell from Jumilla. So I have to give this some points. Label looks cool, so had high hopes. Unfortunately this was a slight shart. Too tart and punchy for this region. Box wine.

Medium bodied red. Paired well with sloppy joes, no shame on that.

Excellent go to wine. Great price easy going down. Better after it breaths a few.
