Cerro Añon Crianza Rioja Tempranillo Blend

First Rioja. Should improve with air and food.

Perfect Rioja to go with a rich meal like Christmas dinner, and easy drinking enough to polish off the rest on a lazy afternoon of indulging.

Drinking nice. New oak, lots of vanilla and fruit in the mid palate surrounded by dryer, spicer tones.

Cassis and currant dominate the nose and run right into the palate. Really dark and dense core with med chalky tannins. Needs another 5 years at least.

A very balance Rioja. Very good to drink it with a traditional basque dish

Blend of (mostly) Tempranillo, Graciano and Mazuelo. Another solid vintage of this Crianza-Styled Rioja. Medium inky ruby color with garnet highlights. Plush aromas of ripe plums and dark berries with a subtle note of beef jerky and wet soil. Juicy dark berry and plum flavors also fill the palate with additional notes of black tea and dark caramel. Hint of cocoa on the tart and spicy finish. Medium-bodied, with silky tannins and a velvety texture. Outstanding QPR!

Tempranillo tasting! Aromas of vegetables and red cherry/fruit. Red fruit, leather, and chalky tannins (on the cheeks). Medium bodied with medium finish.

Cherry, toasted nuts and a bit of plastic on the nose, robust red fruits hit you right away, but thins out a bit with a floral finish.
