Nose has summer red roses, dry leather, full pencil sharpener box, dehydrated strawberry, ripe plum, mashed black cherry and wet potting soil.
Palate has ripe blackberry, ripe black currant, dried tart cherry, currant jam with medium tannins/acidity, youthful!
This bottle, honestly, has at least another 10-15+ years in front of it before these tannins settle. Damn you Rioja, how can you age forever?
Decanted 6H, more time required. Last bottle of a 4-pack acquired in January 2005. ($28.50!)
70% Tempranillo / 20% Grenache / 10% Manzuelo & Graciano.
