Better than the current 2007 Reserva if you ask me, though more rustic and muddled, with solid black cherry fruit and leather. Despite the indiscriminate grape selection of the crianza, the French oak makes it a serviceable bottle.

Leather, oak and blackberry. A bit too much acid. Nothing near the complexity or balance I'd prefer, but it is just a crianza.
