Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y León Tempranillo Blend

Really solid, WOTN in our blind group. Very young, lots of oak and primary fruit.

Tempranillo and 10% Syrah from vineyards in Tudela de Duero and aged for 16 months. Mauro was created in the 1970's by Luciano Suarez, specializing in the restoration of medieval monuments, and Felix Choque, cousin of Mariano Garcia, the former winemaker at Vega Sicilia. Flavors of raspberry and cherry some leather and earthy pepper. The wine had good balance with oak on fine tannins. Lingering finish ending with earthy tones.

Love this wine, 90% temp 10% Syrah. Great fruit and complexity for a ribera, oak not overpowering at all.

Very modern style, plump, rich, lots of licorice.

Former Vega Sicilia winemaker. Really great quality.

Vibrant purple. Youthful nose with a hint of reduction. Bramble fruits with a peppery/herbal undertone. Super elegant tannin structure. Lacy.

Infanticide, this baby needs a 10yr nap in the cellar!
