This old Spaniard was good, not great. Easy drinking but missing something. Bought at Verve

Forward redfruits, moderately oak, nice acidity which lends a lot of freshness, nice balance and length, nice Rioja!

Leather and ripe red fruits on the nose. Quite vibrant! Expected a richer, darker wine but this is light and fruity, and very drinkable. We were expecting so much more, considering the price and age, but it's just an ok wine.

Great! Still tastes very young.

Despite the two decades plus of bottle age, this energetic #rioja drank like a 5 year old wine. Bright red/purple fruit aromas, undertones of earth/leather. Lovely mouthwatering acidity on palate and silky tannins on finish. Outstanding pairing for Brazilian Picanha & feijão (stewed black beans.)
