Lanzarote Diego Seco
First of the variety for me. This is how Lanzarote does Chablis, I guess.

Dec 17th, 2015Not quite as good as some of their other offerings, but this still had that unmistakeable Canary Islands minerality.

Jun 3rd, 2015I got a cheese on the nose. Good body, clean mineral finish. Doesn't linger too much. Light fruit!

Aug 23rd, 2014A perfect example of how challenging conditions often produce the most charactered wines. From the Canary Island of Lanzarote, the vines are grown in small pits dug into the black #volcanic soil to protect them from the intense Saharan & Atlantic winds. The grape is native to the island, and the #salinity and minerality carry to the glass layered with notes of cumin, bay leaf and faint goat cheese-like tang.
