Coming along nicely w lots of black cherry fruit and a fine/firm structure that means this should continue to age for some time.

Not necessarily #msclassic but a beautiful glass of wine with dark fruit well integrated oak and solid structure.

Opaque purple. Toasted aromas of new barrel, spicy plum skin, blackberry jam, dried fruits. So well structured. Dense and fresh by turns. Hard to spit.

I usual like this wine very well, but today the oak was obtrusive and covered some of the fruit/soil elements I hoped to find here. Third best in a blind, horizontal tasting of top 2010s from our book.

Deep cherry, wild berries and plum with notes of wild flowers, tobacco leaf, toast and vanilla. Full-bodied, round mouthfeel. Yum!

It is not smooth and not rich...a poor choice

Pop and pour. Initially, very reserved. I assume extracted. Very dark. Flavor one dimensional and not notable. Some at the table liked it. Eventually noticed some Indian spices, cumin mostly. Not my thing I suppose . At Keens Steakhouse.
