Reserva Solar de Randez Rioja Tempranillo

This rosé took its time but once decanted it really awoke into a fresh little beauty. Super fun wine to drink because of the perpetual evolution.

18 years old and still just as brilliant and vibrant!

So different from what I normally drink, but this is a real treat!

Surprising amount of fruit for a nearly 20 year old wine. Not even a hint of oxidation. Dig it.

Black cherries, blackberry compote, fig jam, cassis, leather, iron, green peppercorns, cigar box, vanilla, balsamic. Refined, lively acid/minimal narrow velvet tannin balance, medium body, juicy-slightly silly texture, long smoky, earthy peppery finish. Maintains a youthful profile despite its age. No decanting needed.

Nice splurge.

Interesting wine. Oxidized, but that's the style. I don't know if it will evolve into any more complex flavors. Better with food. Nice acid structure but weak finish.
