Really a nice little Rioja Riserva all in all. Liquor store score at 9$. Signature Oak on the bouquet with a mixed fresh black cherry and blackberry pastry breakfast happening with the vanilla bean-Carmel and toast. Medium mouthfeel, silky tannins overall. Definitely has hit its stride, and is doing its famous Anguiano dance on its dusty American oak stilts. Mary Magdalene would be proud! She's no slut, by the way, just a woman with a reputation for taking too much wood in the winemaking process. Graziano and Mazuelo will vouch for her bad luck of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, and having to bear the weight of misinformed assumptions. This one is a good girl as she spins above the crowds of heavy handed, over oaked Riojas to proclaim her subtle innocence.
Don't wait! By next year she'll be an old maid or worse!

Deep ruby color. At the back end of its prime, tannins have mellowed, fruit notes are nice but muted. Light and enjoyable.
