Great wine with the love of my life — 4 months ago
This is a delicious nine-year-old Rioja. Showing nice complexity with a nice mouthfeel.
Showing black fruits with wood, licorice, vanilla, earth, coffee, light vinaigrette, black tea, peppercorn, wet leaves, spices and light herbs.
Full bodied and smooth with medium plus acidity.
Nice finish with spices and tangy raspberries.
Needs a couple of hours of airtime to open up properly. Still young and will be better in the next 5 to 10 years.
Rich and engaging. Spicy and tasty.
I paired it with cheeses and crackers. Great with the brie cheese.
A blend of 88% Tempranillo and 12% Graciano. Aged for 26 months in French Oak barrels.
13.5% alcohol by volume.

I like everything about this wine: the pale-medium-purple color, the dark fruit and white pepper nose, the round tannins and lively alcohol (14.5%) and lasting, smooth vanilla finish...all make it a next-level wine sold at an unbelievably value-driven price of ~$20/btl. How does Lan do that? Not sure but I’m so glad they do. — 3 months ago
