Finca Arantei Rías Baixas Albariño

Lemon yellow color, green edges, with stone, citrus and tropical fruit aromas and herb floral scents. On the palate flavors of apples, grapefruit and pineapple with lemon citrus and chalky notes. Well balanced with pleasant lively acidity, long finish ending with mineral, citrus, floral and wet stone nuances. Very nice!

I’m still warming up to Albariño but I liked this one!

Golden amber color.
Sharp on the nose, minerals and lemon.
Heavy minerality on palate as well, but with a sour note like raw oysters in the shell and lemon.
Finish is muted and soft but for sure present.
Aeration mellows things out.

Paired with salmon and hollandaise, wild rice and quinoa, and sauteed greens.

Nice dry white. Slight mineral taste very smooth easy to drink slight pear taste. Pignetti’s $21.99

Local shop had this Albariño. Nicely rich and balanced.
