brambly blackberry patch, licorice, vanilla ~ black cherry, plum, blueberry, star anise, clove ~ killer value

Fruit forward but not sweet.

A little tannic initially, but then opened up after 1/2 hour. Blackberry nose and a dark fruit finish. Best organic wine that we've ever had.

Very drinkable ... Lovely & for short money!

Solid full-body & complex. Tannins were a bit rough. Would benefit from aging for a couple years.

Hints of cherry and raisin in the nose, dry finish.

Quite different from othe Monastrels. Simple but well composed at the begining. Not much aftertaste that keeps you wondering if you tasted every aspect.

Really surprised by the balance. Stands up to the Summer heat well.
