Bordón Rioja Tempranillo Blend

Dont really mind the American oak here..

Not the most complex, but well balanced, good flavor, and oak is not overpowering.

Deep flavour mellowed out by the years but still with great rough edges to it.

Olives, dried cranberry and wood. Some soft pretty fruit but quite short. Past it’s best but still pretty and has character

Very good. A bit sharper than I’d like and maybe a bit too much oak but it’s a good time

Very good wine for every ocation fruit come first then, the wine,14%alc.

Too smooth for Rioja; delicious & easy drinking, but not what I was hoping for (blend considered), but the rating system is: "not for me" to "love it", & even though it wasn't what I bargained for, it was what I needed!

Well rounded blend of primarily Tempranillo with Grenache and mazuelo thrown in. The Grenache adds finesse and a hint of fruit forward sweetness to what is an aged, full bodied Tempranillo. Ripe black cherry, mint, a tad of Asian spice on the palate. Bright red cherry and hint of black fruit on he nose.

Aromas of dying jasmine and overripe orange give way to a dry, velvety earthen palette touched with white pepper and Forrest floor- medium finish- absolutely wonderful!
