Deep garnet colour in the glass. Evidence of legs.

Clean on the nose with notes of medium(+) intensity. Mainly tertiary aromas of bottle ageing: leather, forest floor, wet leaves, savoury. Secondary aromas of oak: coconut, nutmeg, cloves.

Fully developed.

On the palate it is dry with pronounced flavour intensity. Medium(+) acidity, medium alcohol, medium tannin, full body, long finish.

Well balanced, very complex. Outstanding wine. Drink it now, not suitable for further ageing.

Gorgeous. For a 2001, it's still giving plenty of red and black cherries that are complimented nicely by the toasty vanilla in the oak.

Traditional in style with Worcestershire and balsamic notes on the nose. Nice freshness on the plate. Finishes with black current and dill.
