Wow! Entering the prime drinking plateau, this once severely wild wine nowadays show elegance and great balance. The oak and tannins are beautifully resolved, and the dark fruits perfectly aligned with its acidity and forceful minerals on the endless finish. Stunning showing! Thru 2025 at least.

Was some time ago, but still to this day one of my favourite/ best reds I've had. My personal Top 3. Big and bold.

Complex nose with deep fruit concerntration. Black and blue fruit with a great level of mineral and opulence. Fruit is now integrated and tannin resolved and good level of balance. Core sweetness. A surprise discovery

Magnum 2005 Jumilla El Nido CS. Post Doc fam dinner at house. Biggest of the three wines ('78 Vina Real & '85 Lopez de Heredia). Eyes closed, we all thought this would have been a Cal CS. Big jammy fruit, structured tannins, oak, vanilla, and spice. This seemed to be the crowd favorite. Lovely!

This wine has totally evolved since it was young. The sweetness has gone replaced by restrained black and red fruits, fine integrated tannins with a nice clean LONG finish. Yummy! Sorry I only have one of this vintage left
