Bodegas Ego
Goru Verde (Organic) Monastrell
Medium ruby with deep garnet red. Savory nose with notes of gravel, leather and dark berries. Very dry palate with medium tannins (5/10) and medium bodied. Solid minerality, a touch of branches, leather, berries and chalkiness. Long finish. Drink till 2021.

Jan 20th, 2018Dry as the Sahara and straightforward. Not a whole lot to contemplate here but it's ok I suppose.

Mar 20th, 2021Deep garnet color. Excellent nose of deep fruity (cherry or raspberry?) minerality and dried leaves. Medium body. Pallet rich and dry, but refreshing, fruity (again cherry/raspberry) with hints of tannins, minerals, and fall leaves. Finish is long, refreshing.

Aug 2nd, 2018Nice red. Drank this with a variety of foods and enjoyed it. Plus, bees! $11 at co-op.

Jun 14th, 2017Picked this up since they used organically grown grapes. Very jammy upfront but quickly fades into a fairly earthy finish. A bit tannic but definitely tolerable. Might be a bit sweet after awhile on it's own, but I imagine pairing it with a rich meaty meal would be excellent.
