May 29th, 2017Medium ruby with some garnet hues. High intensity nose with leather, animal and cigar notes shooting out of the glass. Opens up with some dark cherries and bitter cocoa. Moderate savory tannins (6/10) with a little bit of heat. Sour cherries on the palate with a medium body. Very dry long finish. A little bitter too. Nice and complex nose, only downfall is the bitterness in the finish. Drink till 2018.

Oct 23rd, 2016Tried this again about a year later, big difference. Ruby Color, Dark fruit aromas with spicy scents. The palate shows red fruits and wild blackberries fruit flavors. This 100% Monastrell red, aged for 10 months on American oak shows fine tannins, high acidity and some mineral and earthy notes on the finish. A bit smoother after a year. Good value.
