Very tannic, needs a lot of time to breath. Dark fruit, leather and nutmeg. Went well with Spanish charcuterie (Serrano jamon, Iberico chorizo and Manchengo) and beef kimchi fried rice

2016. Fruit forward, medium tannins, oak, smoke, spiced cranberry balanced by ripe plum. Smooth and fragrant.

Bottle #3455 of 3800. Feel like an art collector.
So far, so good. Quite an evolving experience. It started with a musty, barnyard funk and has over 70 minutes tamed to soft, smoke. This is a big wine, checking in the ring at a hefty 15%. Would be interesting to cellar this guy for a couple of years.
