Raspberries, dry cherries, and some blueberries. There's some cocoa and dry earth minerality. Just a hint of tobacco. The acidity is tart and the tannins induce a pleasant pucker. This wine is complex, flavorful, and is outstanding with strong, spicy food. I loved it with chilies rellenos and nopales that my friend Lupe made. It was also very good with a curry of chick peas and potatoes that I made. It's excellent value at the price.
