Top Notes For
Sipping Fine Wine

Sourced from one of the oldest vineyards planted in Valdeorras, Avancia. Godello was almost extinct at the end of the 1980s, so it is extremely rare to find a Godello produced from a single vineyard planted in 1904. Pale golden color with aromas of stone and citrus fruits with floral and spice notes, fermented in oak on its lees for 10 months. On the palate flavors of peach, ripe apple and lemon citrus with pepper and floral spice. Long finish ending with fruit, subtle oak and mineral character. Nice!

Starts out reductive in the overripe papaya sort of way. But dissipates. Quince and mango on the palate; lactic, creamy. Very nice texture and length, and a steely reverberating finish. Really complete wine, a great value.

Excellent. Herbal, green orchard fruit and creamy citrus notes. Apparently RP called this “Spain’s best godello” or something but despite that it’s very elegant

Dinner with friends, no formal notes tonight.
Green apple, tangerine peel, cool stuff!

Love the varietal and the producer but have had better vintages...this was 2015.

Vintage 2017 | Firm wine. I imagined I smelled the sea, salt. Good acidity.

Top-notch barrel-fermented Godello in a lush but focused style. Peach, lemon curd, honeysuckle, ginger, tropical fruit on the finish. Outstanding balance of texture and minerality and certainly a reference point for Valdeorras.

Green apple, lime, lemon, thyme, white pepper, grass, quince, and new oak. High acid, medium alcohol, medium bodied, and long finish with nice salinity and minerality.

Loved this. Great weight and creaminess on the palate with beautiful floral notes on the nose. Really lovely
