Cuvée de O Valdeorras Godello

Bright straw yellow color with aromas of fruit and white flowers and expressive fruit Sur lie aging in large barrels give wine weight and complexity. On the palate flavors of apple, pear and melon with citrus and floral notes. Medium+ finish, good balance with acidity ending with fruit and slight earthy floral notes. Nice!

Stone fruit mineral film. Spanish whites are always interesting to me. This Godello grape is new to my pallet.

Honey and stone fruit... High alcohol throws it off though

Dry medium-bodied white, with sharp citrus, green apple, lemongrass and hints of ginger on the nose. Softly polished rich mouthfeel with golden apples, white peach, white cranberry and grapefruit on the palate with an interesting hint of grilling grease lingering on viscous, medium-length finish. Well done.

A nice full bodied white. A bit of floral, minerality, and stone fruit. A very slight sweetness as well.

Nice minerality with notes of stone fruit.

This was tasty, rounded flavors, nice distinction from a lot of other whites, something I hope for from godellos. Have to get a couple more.
