Awesome... I used to buy 8 dollar Septima by the case before I could afford higher price points. Actually never knew until recently that that had more to offer.
This is a Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Tannat blend. Gran Reserva. Aged 18 months in French oak. 14.5 abv. A very deep red-purple, opaque color, leaning toward inky. Full bodied.
On open, very meaty nose. After 30 minutes, white pepper, ...
White pepper persists in the palate with wood and nuts entering the mix. Cedar and a hint of stewed blackberries. Nice medium tannins, low if any acidity. Big wine. I love it. Septima!!! Who knew???

Wow, what a treat this beautiful bottle is! Delicious. Just the perfect amount of tannins to give this a unique blend character. I was also lucky to find an older vintage; makes all the difference.
