Awesome... I used to buy 8 dollar Septima by the case before I could afford higher price points. Actually never knew until recently that that had more to offer.
This is a Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Tannat blend. Gran Reserva. Aged 18 months in French oak. 14.5 abv. A very deep red-purple, opaque color, leaning toward inky. Full bodied.
On open, very meaty nose. After 30 minutes, white pepper, ...
White pepper persists in the palate with wood and nuts entering the mix. Cedar and a hint of stewer blackberries. Nice medium tannins, low if any acidity. Big wine. I love it. Septima!!! Who knew???

Blackberries and apricot, plenty of tannins. A great Malbec for the price IMO. — 4 months ago
Oak taste to this deep rich red wine. Slightly less spicy than usual Malbec but a nice fruity spiced taste to it. Weighty bottle - very good birthday wine. — 2 years ago
Nice. Light. Very dry for a malbec. — 2 months ago
Sandy brought to our NYE party. Friends liked it better than our usual go-to, Septima. — 5 months ago
