Enjoyable pairing that was distinctly different from other blends and worth having, more than once. Paired well with low acidic meal and can bridge white and dark meat meals very well. Ideal with a plum tomato marinara.

Deep purple in color, almost black; blackberries, black plums, and black pepper on the nose; medium plus acidity; medium plus tannins; tastes like blueberries, cherries, eucalyptus, and wet slate with long finish. I like this wine. It improved with about 30 minutes in the glass. Nellie says it's not bad.

May 4th, 2024If not aerated we’d consider it a 6. With aeration it is much improved. The Malbec and Cabernet Franc seem slightly in conflict with flavors which some may like for complexity. It was worth trying and definitely aerate.
