Privada Mendoza Malbec

I bought this one at a tasting at Zachys. It was floral, feminine and very pretty. It was in the cellar for 3, 4 years?? And drunk it a couple of weeks ago. The wine changed completely on me. It was huge, heavy and thick. None of the pretty aromatics were there instead a got a beast of a wine. I drunk it and it was good but not what I expected. Maybe it had to breath ???

Pleasant nose of berries and oak. Dry. Not overly smooth but very enjoyable especially with a spicy meal.

Popped open this bottle of Privada tonight to go with short ribs.

Intense fruit and pepper. Very nice

Black cherry note. Peppery finish. Delicious 🍷

Nicely balanced. Soft tannins, nice oak. Black cherry, black currant. Really nice, full bodied. Not very complex.
