Looks like fancy Malbec. Bottle design and D.O.C. thing scream fancier than the norm. Dark purple. Like the skin of the ‘black’ plums. Smells like mineral oils and plum compote. Streak of licorice compounds too. Flavors are elegant and juicy. Has a voluptuous body. Silky. Tannic and complex. This apes the Cahors style and reminds me of the French version of the grape. Well worth the extra $2 for the upper shelf Bodega Norton at Gross Out.
