De Sangre Lujan de Cuyo Malbec

This wine is dark garnet in the glass. Aromas of blackberry, plum, and cassis grace the nose, along with some oak spice. The palate has plenty of dark fruit, a savory edge, and very firm tannins. It pairs nicely with any kind of beef, especially a steak with lots of fat. I also tried it with a spicy pasta dish, but I found that the tannins fought with the spice a little too much. Beef that has been salted and peppered is the better choice.

Deep purple color. Aromas of violets, ripe black plums and light oak. Dark black fruit and blueberry lead the fleshy palate along with notes of roasted nuts, black tea, balsamic vinegar and roasted herbs. Touch of pepper on the long finish. Satiny tannins and creamy texture. Plush and rich. Favorite red at the Luigi Bosca Tasting.

Dry. Flavors of ripe blackberry, blueberry jam, vanilla, anise, peppercorn, tar. Rich, dark notes. Rich, chewy tannins.
