2 people found it helpfulDec 9th, 2017100% Marselan (Crossing of Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache) from Uruguay. Dark ruby/black color with a thin garnet rim. Aromas of jammy black fruit, wet potting soil, tobacco, a bit of menthol and smoky oak. Flavors of ripe blackberry, blueberry and plum fruit, green olives, dark chocolate, black pepper, fresh herbs and baking spices. Medium-plus finish and body with enough noticeable tannin and intensity. A bit out of balance. Decent complexity and a reasonable wine, but something is lacking.

I love Tannat and this is no exception. I feel like this is underrated probably because of its origins. Definitely try this if you can find it! Also, priced under 20β¬

Aug 2nd, 2024v20. Very good, totally over delivers. Soft, yet fully smoked meat nose. Fresh, rich, dark black fruit medley. Bright, smooth, long, slightly astringent finish. Treasure. Great charcuterie wine.
