I like many other Catena wines. This Cab Franc doesn’t do it for me; too soft, too plush, too dark, too...lacking in that funky verve, you know? You know.

Love this cab franc! None of the green wood taste that seems to be prevalent in many European ones.

Lovely crushed berries make up the nose, like a jam making factory at first pressing.

Fruit leather black raspberry, Ouzo like anise, grit from the cherry pit, blanched plum.
Ending in tonsil smacking cedar stave,
Love the push for Cab franc in the fertile glacier hewn soils of South America.

This is a really earthy cab franc, with a great beginning and finish but the middle is missing.

Don't know if anyone cares, but to me this is an understated Cabernet franc. I have had some that bring the power of pepper and tobacco. This one is subtle and tame. If you don't like to be overpowered with awesomeness, this may be a Franc for you. For me it's good, just not what I wanted in my franc. I'll drink it if someone else buys but I won't spend another $17 on a bottle.

Light, fruity and fun. Easy drinking, great with a meal.

Headland Hotel,Cornwall. Beautiful balance between heavy flavor and tanin--the taste of intense saltanas without the awkward aftertaste. Slight charred taste at the end (which apparently is my thing). Beautiful wine.
