Reserve Heiligenstein Riesling

There are some wines that are breathtakingly mineral - ringing with the clarity of a subterranean cistern. This is one.

I always enjoy her wines.

Pure Austrian, opulent baroque style Riesling.

Gentle, complex and building slowly piece by piece, this very youthful, yet very promising, great wine has mineral spiciness and high-pitched apricots on the nose, which then flows into a medium-bodied, lemony palate where concentrated flavors struggle against tart acids. Will reward patience.
