The Boxer Bin 11 Oak Aged Durif
My good friend found this 9 year old Australian Petite Sirah in someone's house and brought it over for me check it out. Over the hill by now, but still drinkable.
Showing a nice color of dark ruby with a brick rim.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.
Showing red and blue fruits with light earth, vegetables, light oak, spices and peppercorn.
Short tangy finish with no tannins whatsoever.
Interesting to try a 2011 from Australia in the United States, as not much from this vintage ever came through.
Opened up after 30 minutes and showed some tannins with and mild complexity.
Aged for 9 months in American oak barrels.
13% alcohol by volume.
82 Points.

Bluish red 👁️
Ripe fruit and figs 👃
High acidity.
Full body of Lemon tartness, ripe red fruit, pepper and some tar on the background.
Light 🎯 with soft tannins.
Balanced and very functional, but nothing to email home about.
Served well as a picnic wine with different 🍕 slices.
Good vfm (65 nis)
Need to put some more 💰 to achieve greatness, probably.
Everyone loved it, very quaffable.
