The 2018 Big Table Farm Pinot Gris is sourced from fruit grown by eminent winemaker Brian O’Donnell of Belle Pente. The Pinot Gris was fermented on the skins, giving off a brilliant salmon color. Texturally elegant, the wine shows an exotic edge with ripe red raspberry and kumquat zest that collide with minerals and wild mushroom tones on the palate. Complex and highly unique, this one of a kind Pinot Gris is simply brilliant in its youth and will evolve well for a decade, picking up lovely tertiary aromatics and flavors as it ages. Sep 15th, 2019Super savory orange wine. Blood orange in color and very slightly hazy. Tastes like a Bloody Mary. Tomato juice and herbs (vegetable garden). Drank without food but imagined grilled branzino with capers, or spaghetti carbonara. Asks a lot of the drinker, which I appreciate.

Rose petals and light acetone with notes of raspberries. Drinks smoother than I expected. Almost no tannins and none of the acidity that I expected. Fun but not fantastic.

Really interesting. Obviously very aggressive skin contact. Darker than many rosés. Fascinatingly savory, and fun! Not many PGs that are beyond ramato that are this successful. No bad VA problems.
